Asphalt Repair and Patching
Proper maintenance of asphalt is very important to maintain the integrity of your pavement. If the asphalt is neglected and not maintained properly you will experience a breach in the pavement surfaces, resulting in a need for immediate repair. We perform spot patching as a temporary solution for pesky potholes, but ultimately at some point, we will need to come in and properly fix and repair the pavement surface and get the pavement under a proper maintenance schedule.
We are also experts when it comes to street cuts for utility work. Our crews come in and do the saw cutting, removal and disposal all as a service to repair neglected asphalt surfaces. Saw cuts may appear costly, however, in the long run, the results you get with this type of repair provide a significant amount of savings rather than a total redo of the entire surface.
Once you have become a victim of improper maintenance of your paved surface you feel the pain that is caused by needing these costly repairs. Our goal is to not only do the repairs but educate you on the regular maintenance that is required and set you up on a proper asphalt maintenance schedule.

Tar and Chip Contractors Texas
Installing a Tar and Chip driveway, roadway, or parking lot is very economical, more affordable, and a perfect alternative to hot mix asphalt blacktop or concrete. This paving method has been used for hundreds of years and is very durable in all types of climates. The tar & chip paving method consists of a combination of asphalt and stones to create a textured durable hard surface. Asphalt milling (Also known as pavement milling, cold planing, or profiling) is the process of recycling pavement by removing a portion of the paved surface to level and smooth the surface to a specified profile level. The milling process is used to correct and restore the pavement to its original grade and makes the surface ready for the asphalt resurfacing.
Will asphalt milling be the best option for my existing parking lot?

If your parking lot has a good base foundation, but you have some issues with the surface area, we can mill your parking lot without having to do a major demolition, resulting in a more economical way to resurface your parking lot.
What issues can pavement milling repair?
- Uneven Surface – If you notice uneven surfaces, this can cause extra wear on vehicles that drive on the area.
- Rutting – Rutting occurs when there are depression spots in the pavement that run in one specific direction for a decent length.
- Cracking – Cracking can be caused by many different circumstances, and also there many different types of cracks that may occur in your asphalt.
- Raveling – This type of damage occurs when the surface becomes loose and separated. It is like you are driving on a layer of loose pebbles.
- Bleeding – Asphalt bleeding occurs as a result of the asphalt binder seeping through the surface of the road.
- Damage – Literal damage can occur to the asphalt due to vehicle accidents, fires, or any other type of event that could leave a gash mark in the asphalt.
The milling process generates recycled asphalt pavement (RAP).
Benefits of Asphalt Milling:
- Cost Effective – The process of milling is very efficient and can save you so much money compared to conventional asphalt removal, which can be very labor intensive.
- Efficient – During the milling process, as the aggregate is removed from the surface of the road, parking lot or driveway, it is simultaneously loaded onto removal trucks. This process keeps the entire job site clean and free of debris making the construction process go much more quickly. This process can also be done in sections so that the flow of traffic or regular business operations are not impacted.
- Improved Finish – The process of grinding the old asphalt, results in a uniform, smooth, and clean surface which is perfect for the new surface to adhere to once applied.
- Sustainable – The milling process can be repeated over and over on the same surface when necessary. The excavated asphalt material is fully recyclable and the aggregate in the new pavement or sent to a recycling plant.

Sealcoating Fort Worth, Texas
Applying a seal coat to your asphalt pavement serves as a protection barrier and is a critical part of an asphalt maintenance program. If you do not treat your asphalt pavement with a sealcoating the asphalt will naturally deteriorate quickly due to the exposure to sun, wind, and water, so you will want to protect your investment with proper maintenance and care. A sealcoat on top of your asphalt pavement is basically a waterproof membrane that not only slows down the oxidation process but also prevents water from entering and compromising the base material over time.
Another benefit of adding a sealcoat barrier is that it helps to increase the surface friction by increasing the pavement texture. This is great for added traction and the ability for vehicles to stop faster. Without a sealcoat, the top layer of the asphalt can wear down and become smooth and slick resulting in making it harder for vehicles to stop quickly when necessary.
Applying a seal coat is not a once and done type of project. You must have a professional apply a seal coating on a regular basis to prevent deterioration of the pavement. On average a paved surface should be sealed at a minimum of every 2-3 years to provide you with the best protection for your investment. Hiring a professional paving company is your best option for making sure the sealcoating is applied correctly.
Another great thing about applying a fresh seal-coat is it will make your paved surface look new again and is a great facelift to maintain a nice appearance at a very affordable price. So not only are you protecting your investment, but you are maintaining beauty at the same time making your property look spectacular.
Sealcoating Surface Preparation
Prior to starting the seal coating process we will come in and fully prepare the asphalt surface to get it ready for the best adhering results. As with any project preparation is key in order to receive the best results possible, and sometimes the preparation stage can take longer than the actual application phase. The actual preparation will include the following, and depending on the current state of the area to receive the seal coat this may take some time to complete.

- Remove all loose dirt particles from the pavement. This can be done with a power sweeper or power blower
- Remove all weeds or other vegetation that may be growing in cracks of the pavement
- Remove all oil stains, grease stains and any other fluids that may have leaked out from vehicles. These will be removed by torching, scraping, and scaring the area to allow for best adhesion of the sealcoat. On heavily soiled areas, we will also apply a poly-oil seal treatment, followed by sand blotting. Depending on how extreme these stains are, these removal efforts may still result in sealcoat peeling. We will advise you in extreme conditions like this so you are fully aware.
- Protective coverings of duct tape and building paper will be placed on all manhole covers, drains, utility covers, monuments, statues and any other objects that could be affected by the seal coating process.
